It is mentioned in the OPs link written by PAt Forde where he states that teh NCAA has already ruled on his case.
so yes, I am assuming it is over, unless they rule him inelegible again.
I didn't read where the NCAA has already ruled on the case. I did read there is an ongoing investigation. He was ruled ineligible, but that doesn't mean the case is over...just saying.

There's eligibility committee and then there is the infractions committee. We do know the eligibility committee has ruled. We do not know anything about the infractions committee.

Which is waht this article is about.

other than the fact that no NOI has been sent to Au.

I've made my opinion on Cam situation known in the past. I absolutely believe that he was paid and have my reasons for believing it. This is pretty much the case with every single person that has ever discussed Cam Newton with me, including most of my Auburn friends and family. They all believe he got paid and they got away with it. Big deal. He was worthy every damn penny. If you do not believe it, you are in the minority.
Its hard for me to believe without proof. How exactly did he get paid? You people who beleive this sort of shite have no idea how banking works. If cash was withdrawaled to pay or even used as a cashier's check, the stuff gets investigated. They always want to know the source of funds and purpose of the withdrawals. It would of been documented especially with that amount of money.
ETA: If it was maybe $20k I would believe, but the amount is supposedly $180-200. It doesnt sound plausible for someone to dish out that amount of cash to an unproven junior college player.

Where did this come from - was that part of the story coming out of Memphis?

I haven't commented on any of this stuff, nor do I plan on because, while I do find it interesting, it's not that big a deal.
Now, just want to point out something that you seems to not really grasp that DDA is right on what you're trying to downplay. Here's the quote one more time:
quote:

Now if you still don't understand let's see if we can help that out.
Yes, he was declared ineligible, but that doesn't mean it's over. You know who was rule ineligible, then was ruled eligible but was still under investigation? Cam Newton. Remember: "We'll let you know when it's over." For the NCAA if they are in Memphis it sounds like they are covering pretty much the whole city and not just a hand full of players. Meaning, right now, with the way the SEC recruits Memphis, nobody is safe.
Did that help at all?

Nope. The story is about memphis recruits and one in particular that recieved money from MSU boosters.
It does however mention that one AU recruit was looked into this summer and ruled ineligible. His connection to the story is geographic.

Nice, glad "withdrawaled" and "would of" didn't make the edit cut. And maybe Cam didn't get paid, I have no idea. But if you are arguing that people can't move money around illegally, especially when the regulatory agency in this case doesn't have subpoena power, then lol at you sir. It may be more difficult now than it used to be, but seriously, think about what you just said.

But where did the discussion of Auburn and a NOI come into this? Are some saying the NCAA has put them on notice?

While I appreciate the effort it was not needed.
Yall may not know but there is an eligiblity commitee and an infractions commitee.
One has made there ruling. The other has not informed AU that they are looking into AU.

I'm so glad this threat is over for us...that way we can just go back to sucking arse and fricking cows...without the pesky distraction of an NCAA investigation

sometime you have to be proactive.

Ehh I wouldn't say no one is safe. Names like Brandon Hill and Marlon Brown will likely pop up some. I wouldn't think much of it though. Brown might get interesting, but I have my doubts anyone at Harding Academy will talk. How he transferred there in the first place still raises eyebrows.

No, but multiple reporters have confirmed an ongoing an investigation.
And Jovon for some reason isn't enrolled prep school. You would think now that the investigation is over and everyone's all clear, an NFL prospy like that would be working to get into college.
