Was a serious choke job. I guess the strategy is to make sure that IF we get into a regional that we are no better than a 3 seed.

A&M teams do not have killer instinct. This applies to them in all sports. They have tons of talent but can never quite take the final step.
Its their culture and fanbase. Just look at their talking heads like Liucci. No matter how bad things get he always makes excuses for the coach and covers for the team. And then he bans posters on his site that speak out.
The fanbase itself calls any A&M alum who is critical of the team a "2%er" and disloyal. This creates a situation where the players never have the will to make that last play in a critical situation. They are coddled and it shows.
They do have nice facilities though. Too bad they will never have a Big 3 trophy in them.
