Of course Dyer won't do as well with an inexperienced line and no cam but he's still dope.
No Cam probably means many more touches for Dyer. His ypc will probably drop, but his total yards, barring injury, should be a good bit higher.

You want to bet?

I meant in that 1 game against Oregon. Will Lsu be able to control the clock and pound the ball like AU did. Keep Oregon's offense off the field and LSU wins easy.

LSU could be the best team in the country but if they lose those 2...

WTF is wrong with you clowns?! LSU is better than O and WV! We should win, period. If we don't, it's becuase we weren't as good as expectations. NOT because of scheduling. We simply should beat anyone we play outside of the SEC.

AND, we always do well when LM has morew than a week to prepare for a big game.

Yeah, Auburn/LSU was a "close" game last year too.

Auburn/Oregon was a very close game. Big plays on both sides kept two powerful offenses in check.

Auburn fans can bitch about how our offense failed to capitalize and should have scored so many more points but the same can be said about Oregon's O. Both D's came to play.

Yeah its good for all fans...but that is not the formula. Schedule 4 crap games...win the conference...play for the national title. Scheduling OU doesnt do any good.

This. These marquee OOC games are great for college football in general, but if you're an SEC team, why make the road to the NC harder than it already is?

To answer the question, I wouldn't mind playing Oregon on a neutral field if that was the only tough OOC game. But I definitely wouldn't want to play Oregon AND @ WVU to go along with the SEC schedule - there's just no benefit.

I know schedules are set pretty far in advance, and I'm guessing that whoever set LSU's schedule for '11 had no clue that there would be 4 SEC West teams in the top 25, and Oregon would be a national title contender.

I chuckle at the LSU fans who think yall should win every game with this schedule, and yall are a top national title contender. I don't see how LSU's '11 team can be considered better than last year's team at this point.

You can't replace what Peterson brought every game to defense and special teams, the leadership at linebacker that Sheppard brought, the reliable big-play receiver in Tolliver, the great place kicker in Jasper, and continue to start JJ and expect a better or even equal team.

Peterson's play on special teams and Jasper's field goals were huge for LSU in '10 b/c many of their wins were very close games. LSU beat WVU by 6, Tenn by 2, UF by 4, Bama by 3, and Ole Miss by 7.

For this upcoming season, Oregon, @ WVU, @ MSU, UF, @ TN, @ Bama, @ OM, and Arkansas are all losable games for LSU. Going 10-2 would be a hell of a season with this schedule, but expecting anything more than 10 wins in unrealistic IMO. I think a realistic prediction for LSU is 8-4/9-3, not 12-0/11-1 like a lot of LSU fans are thinking.
