The quote doesn't say anybody will go undefeated. It says nobody will have a chance to win a national championship... which has been totally false

Did I agree with that part of the quote, dumbass?

quote:

You don't need to go undefeated to win a national title, especially with the playoff coming. If you lose a game, playing tougher teams in your conference will surely make a difference

So you don't think a team with 1 loss with a normal schedule has a better chance at the playoff than a team with 2 losses and a tougher schedule?

Are you this fricking dense? More difficult opponents means you are MORE LIKELY to lose more games. That's basic 1+1=2 type shite.

This was about FSU becoming an SEC team, meaning IN conference. Yet, you reference a Florida team and their OUT of conference schedule.....

quote:

A loss is a loss.

Good Lord, where the frick have you been the last 15 years? All losses are not equal. We all know this. Oklahoma State's terrible loss to an average Iowa State team was much much worse than Bama's OT loss to undefeated LSU. If you are so dense not to see this, I give up.

Has the quote been right or wrong? You can split the quote into parts or do whatever you like with it. Genro quoted it because he's been dead wrong. You want to argue that? Seriously?

Yep, I quit. I give up. I never brought up a discussion about strength of schedule for teams with different records. Congrats, you are a retard.

I would rather see the addition of a UNC before a FSU.

And if there was a 4 team playoff OSU would've still made it anyway. What if they played Ohio State that year too to give them 2 losses? They wouldnt' have made it.

I guess I am. Time to give up.

The fact that undefeated seasons are rare attests that the first part is correct. It is tougher playing tougher opponents every week. The second part is incorrect, which I have never disputed.

Holy shite. The quote never says anything about undefeated seasons. It is a cause-and-effect statement. You have to be trolling.

I can't argue with retards all day. Family time. Thanks for the laughs

Considering that just a few months after that quote, an undefeated SEC team won the National Title, I'm guessing he felt pretty stupid

FSU can compete for titles every single year in the ACC. Why give that up to join the SEC?

End of discussion. People act like schools want a harder road to the playoffs/championship game. Mizzou, TAMU, and WVU had the balls to join the SEC. I don't see a lot of top teams like Clemson, FSU, OU, Texas, etc wanting to join the SEC. Don't think they wan the challenge.

They didn't want to join the SEC because they had balls. They just wanted out there current conference and wanted more money and exposure. You guys would of been stuck under Texas/OK shadow forever if you would of stayed. Now, you are getting national attention.

It takes a unanimous vote to gain admittance into the SEC after you have been recommended by a school.

Auburn and FSU recruit from almost the exact same region, then you have Florida who would cock-block them as well.

Good school with a solid graduate program but, it would never happen for the obvious reasons stated above.

Yeah. Why should I give a frick about revenue and media markets? I like football, and FSU is a big time program. I understand some conference exec or tv magnate being against it, but I don't see how any fan could say no

Exactly. The OP's question was would YOU, the fan, support it. First off, it's the SOUTHEASTERN Conference. Why are we adding teams not in the geographical southeast? What makes this conference so strong is partly because of the proximity of rival fan bases. You care if you beat AU, UGa or Tenn because you bump into those fans at the grocery store or restaurants. It makes for passionate fans. Does anyone really give a shite about playing the Sooners or Cavaliers?

How much of this magical revenue that OU or UVa brings in would be burnt up in travel expenses of the non-revenue teams? Those girls volleyball teams don't hitchhike to games.

In this rush for the almighty dollar I'm afraid we are going to lose the very thing that made this conference great.

Yes, and I'd do anything to facilitate it. Kick out State, OM, Mizzou, Arkansas or USCe.

FSU brings a great baseball, football and basketball program.

Frick no.
Had em before, don't want them again, or their annoying war chant that will stay in your head for a week.
