Dude was an incredibly nice guy to talk to. My mom was from Michigan but was a Spartan. He was probably the most beloved man in Michigan even though he came from Ohio.

Growing up he was a icon. And I grew up in Louisiana. Says a lot about the man and his character.

I would rather have Woody “Haymaker” Hayes than either of those two.

Glen Schembechler was 5-12 in bowl games. He had his son arrested for selling unlicensed merchandise outside of Michigan Stadium and ran the Detroit Tigers into the ground while firing broadcasting legend Ernie Harwell. I'd take Larry Coker because at least he isn't an a-hole.

Larry Coker is the reason the 2001 Canes are NOT the best team ever. Doesn't matter who's on the roster, Saban's Title teams would pwn Miami all day.

Well we pretty much have Bo Schembechler right now and I wouldn't trade him for Coker.

Bo Schembechler was an overrated garbage coach who, together with the buckeyes, had a monopoly over all the scholarship players; hence the big 2 and lil 8.
Bo was shite in bowl games and never sniffed a national title.

BO.
A&M threw a lot of money at him back in the 80s, but Jackie ended up being a better hire and fit anyway.

The 1995 Cornhuskers are the best CFB team ever, though I'd give the 1992 Bama squad a better chance against them than any of Saban's teams.

There's that Michigan hate. Really makes me laugh. Keep it coming.

Give the 2011 Bama team and Saban a month of prep on Nebraska and we'd have a compelling game. (Remember, he took one of the most accomplished team in recent memory and shut them out). Don't know if Bama'd win, but we'd still be in it by halftime

That 92 team has been glorified by time. Amazing defense, but awful offense. The 2011 team would beat them pretty handily.

Not commenting on what would happen but I do think this sort of thinking is way overblown. Especially when you're talking about Tom Osbourne who is no slouch himself.

2011 Bama would have to out score 95 NU. I think Bama would have a lot of trouble with that option.

'11 bama would beat the breaks off either team, but it's really not fair to compare teams from different eras like that. The '11 team was just bigger, faster, and stronger. A one dimensional offense like '95 Nebraska would have, well, struggled to cross the 50
2 players on the roster weighed more than 299 pounds

Doubtful considering '11 Bama couldn't even win their own division
