That is how Bear put it. Dabo has basically said he would take the job if offered. The real question is if Bama would offer him the job when Saban retires. A lot can happen by that time. Dabo could also be at a school he wouldn't want to leave like Notre Dame or USC.

We could do worse. It may be really hard to get an elite coach to follow in Saban's footsteps. Next coach is walking into a pressure cooker.

It won’t matter who Bama gets. They will fail because they will constantly be compared to Saban.

Agreed. Gonna be tough to find someone with the balls to follow Saban. If Dabo says no then we might be in trouble.
