You have a better run defense than LSU? That must mean LSU has a clearly superior rushing attack to Alabama as they rushed for over 150 against the mighty Bama rush defense...while the Heisman-led Bama rushing game couldn't even crack 100 yards.

If Bama struggled with LSU's option to the outside, they could also have struggled with Oregon's speed.

And if a small no name college put up 200+ rushing yards on Bama...

LSU had a distinct advantage cuz JL was the starter and obviously, Saban didn't coach enough for the option. I would be surprised to see the option give us fits this time around seeing as how they have a month to prepare for JJ.

The option is very different from the triple option that we never see.

I don't think we would have beaten Oregon as bad as y'all did but we would have won IMO.

Our front seven would have eaten Oregon alive. Bama would skull frick anyone on LSU's schedule, fact.

Even with suspensions and off field issues we had? Lose your OC, starting QB, starting RB WR cb and backup CB as well as your best guard to injury.

Bama is good at saying "we would have ..." blah de blah ... we outplayed LSU, blah blah, if there were a playoff, blah, when the facts are, LSU won the game, in Tuscaloosa, and, there IS no playoff. Alabama DIDN'T play Oregon, or West Virginia. In the head to head matchup, LSU won. The facts can be inconvenient things. If my Aunt Phyllis had a penis she'd be Uncle Henry.

All you folks who want to act like LSU is some conquering army which headed into the Hinterlands to pillage all challengers, while Bama just barely squeeked by an easy schedule can suck it.

Bama is in the NC game because LSU scheduled and beat 2 BCS-worthy foes and Bama played LSU close while losing at Bama. We'd appreciate a "thank you" instead of posturing.

Here is a more relevant comparison. Head to head results between LSU and Bama.
In the last 15 meetings between these teams, LSU has 10 wins against the Crimson Tide.

You're like AU fans. You go back just far enough where the data suits you. The only statistic historically that has meaning is the total wins/losses between our 2 great schools. The all time record Bama leads LSU 45-25 with 5 ties.

We don't need to go back to a certain point to have the data suit us. Our whole season was excellent and we left no doubt about how good this team is on the field. Bama on the other hand is going back to use us to pick the data that suits them which is a quality loss against #1 at Tuscaloser. Bama's quality season this season of beating three teams with a winning record was extremely impressive I must say.

Except against Miss State, WVU, WKU and Bama.

You ignore the point. Bama is in the NC game because LSU scheduled and beat every contender and because Bama played LSU close. Bama's "best win" is a loss to LSU. Without LSU beating Oregon, a 1-loss Oregon plays in the NC. Again, just say "thank you LSU" and stop posturing.

So LSU's best win is Bama - by far - and the next best win is against a team which might not finish in the top 10?

At least the label "best win" applies, because it was a win and not a loss. Again, without LSU beating Oregon, LSU is still in the NCG and Bama isn't, a 1-loss Oregon team is. "Thank you LSU, we wouldn't be there without you."

No. The next best win is against a major conference champion away from home (take your pick - Oregon or WVU).
