I don't think you will find many Auburn fans that doesn't think Saban is a great coach. He certainly is. I also do not think you will find many Auburn fans who thinks he is a nice guy.

Curious, how many Auburn fans would approve the hiring of BP? Wouldn't that be like hiring damaged goods? Cheater, with no moral values.

So based on this quote
" Crutchfield said Saturday the NCAA asked questions about the transcript and other topics that weren't confined only to Robinson.
"But I really don't want to get into what else they were talking about," Crutchfield said. "They were asking a lot of different questions about a lot of different things."
Crutchfield, who now coaches at Central High School in Memphis, said he has no recollection of a false transcript for Robinson.
"The transcripts given out when I was there were his original transcripts," Crutchfield said. "The whole situation about another transcript given to Auburn was all brand new. I didn't know anything about it. All I can do is talk about when I was there, and when I was there nothing fishy was going on. If there was, I didn't know anything about it.""
....makes it sound like lots of other stuff not involving robinson were discussed
is it safe to say other schools or boosters are involved?

I don't think it's safe to make any assumption or rule anything out until more info comes out. It could be all sorts of things.

Agreed. He just won a national championship and is building a great team. 2013 and beyond has the potential to be special seasons.
Uh no! Chizik won the lottery with Newton and Fairley. Newton is a generation player and Fairley was pretty close to the same level. Plus, you don't jus fire a Championship coach. However, you do fire mediocre coaches and thats what Auburn will have to suffer through to get rid of him. Several years of mediocrity before they can ditch him.

This is the SEC not Mr Rogers neighborhood. To Hell with "nice guy" coaches.
Shula was a nice guy.

Yes I do realize it. I also realize that without Fairley - Auburn does not win in 2010.

You have no idea what kind of coach he is if you disregard his NC. Then you're left with his very first year and a year after graduating 40+ players.

Right. Win at all costs. I forgot football is the only thing that matters to some folks. My bad.

So since Auburn has been predicted to win 4-5 games every year since 2009 doesn't that make him the best coach in history?

Do you guys have some secret decoder ring club where you can read the future?
Setting aside 1 year Chiz is an average coach.
