rumor now is that the counselor changed the grades really early on in the kid's highschool career, possibly based on roy adams paying, and auburn had no idea

Makes sense. Change grades early on before you have any clue where he will go.. This has legs.

I can confirm that folks close to the Auburn program believe this. Ties in with what his mom said that he worked hard to make the grades.
Also that had he known about the change all he would have had to do was take a class this summer (not sure which one) to be fully qualified.
Said from the start, look at discredited booster 10 stud.

my problem with that theory is simple. If Roy had them changed, why would he bring attention to the fact they were changed?

And I think there are reports that another school or schools tipped off the NCAA when they saw the inconsistencies in transcripts. That wouldn't make sense if he got them early enough. Who actually alerted the NCAA?
