A.J. will go just above Matthews, right? Hell, probably above JFF, too.

Never said that shite

Just comparing OT's Cy is better, taller, leaner body type will have scouts drooling. Matthews played the other side right? LT is VASTLY different than any other OL position and Cy has been playing it ever since he stepped foot on Campus

AJ will go in the first round in 2014. 2 BCS titles and possibly 3. Coached by Saban. Played at Alabama. Has thrown 49 touchdowns to just 8 INTS in his career. Knows how to manage a pro style offense and utilize the players around him. Is clutch in big games.

I'm still absorbing EJ as a first round pick this year. Just has the word BUST written all over it.

He makes all the NFL throws, pre-snap reads, pocket presence is there

Barring a major step back this yr it's hard not to see him in at the very least early 2nd

Draft is a funny thing though...but next years QB class is not at all dismal like this year's

Yeah I can agree with this. I mean if fricking EJ Manuel can go 16th overall, AJ can go in the 1st round, if not early 2nd. But to say he would have been a top 5 pick this year and next year is quite silly. Success in college doesn't always equal success in the NFL, see Tim Tebow.

And another thing about AJ is that he's always had ELITE talent around him. With RBs like Trent and Lacy the defenses usually had to stack the box leaving WRs one on one. I'm not saying the guy isn't talented but I would like to see him play without all the talent around him. (or, at least equal talent playing against him, which is something he rarely experienced at the college level)

I'll admit if you watched every QB this year in the draft, it was a tough group and as far as raw man Manuel is very much so, but he has a quick release and athleticism that killed ppl last yr, he's not close to RG3 or even Russell Wilson's speed, but he is bigger than those guys. He had an anemic offense though (fair warning Im a TB Bucs fan obviously) I have to admit if he did fall to the 3rd and that is who TB drafted instead of Mike Glennon from NC St I wouldn't have been upset and that's probably right about where he belonged

I watched a good bit of film on WVU to see Hopkins and Austin and Geno's film was BAD BAD BAD terrible accuracy on A LOT of throws, had to step and a sloooow release so I had no qualms with him dropping haha. Barkley was a product of an outstanding WR corps and a lot of 20 - 30 yd slants and comeback routes, he had no 3 level passing range

He's a LOT better QB than our last 2 fwiw

And this year if either Aaron Murray or AJ left they would've easily been top 5 picks, every damn team practically in the top 5 worked out all the QBs then signed or traded for another guy because of how bad they thought the talent was

Next year I have no idea, but it is better talent

McCarron is a slightly more talented Ken Dorsey

I HIGHLY doubt that. The only people that would agree with your statement is Bama & Georgia folks. I'll eat my words next year if I have to but right now I just don't see it.

Fixed it

Seriously man, what because he's not the white Mike Vick like A&M's party boy midget QB he's trash?

He is a lot better than Ken Dorsey

He's a good college QB for what he has to do. Doesn't translate well to the current QB driven NFL. Not sure why you need to bring Manziel into this, he's well ahead of McCarron as far as pro prospects go at this point according to the mocks out there for 2014

Ok think about it rocket

Chiefs worked out Geno and a few others, then traded for Alex Smith

Arizona signed Carson Palmer

Bills worked out Geno and Nassib (former HC as well) then signed Kevin Kolb

Raiders worked EM out then traded for Matt Flynn

If either QB came out either would've been head and shoulders above any of the QBs perceived at the top of the board this year, that's truth buddy

1st quote sounds more like Manziel

This has to be a joke come on man...doesn't translate well? In a pro style system?

He won't be surrounded by a team significantly more talented than the one across from it every Sunday. He will have to make big plays outside of completing a screen pass to prove he can win in the NFL.

All your fans on here screaming for 3 straight runs on 11/10 proved to me how much confidence your own fan base has in him when he really needs to make a play

You apparently missed the touchdown pass and deep throw leading up to that final series. The play calling on the goal line was bad. And on the final play when AJ threw the INT, two receivers ran the wrong route.

Edit: You also evidently ignored both BCS titles games and the SEC title game.
