Randy, pull your tongue out of Richt's a-hole.
I don't like Richt but I think he's a better football coach than Miles and the numbers don't really do anything to prove otherwise.

Richt belongs on this list for one reason and one reason only. The fact that he in at least in a small way deserves some credit for building Bama's program back up. He and his ineptitude singlehandedly allowed Smart and Saban to fricking own the state of GA in recruiting. They get most of who they want from there. Richt deserves a star for that shite. Saban and Smart should claim his arse on their taxes. No way Bama should own UGA in the state of GA in recruiting. Might as well continue gift wrapping those kids to Bama. There's a reason Bama fans applauded when Richt didn't get fired. They don't want a top notch coach at UGA.

Just curious....Can you please list the players that Alabama beat UGA out for? Very few that UGA was going after.

So please, someone tell me, if Richt is so terrible and Miles so amazing why are his numbers virtually identical to Miles at the same point in their careers at their respective schools?

How about head to head? What are those numbers? How about National Titles? What are those numbers? The mere fact that you voraciously cling to an inert argument is telling in itself.

I don't believe anything will pierce the veil of his willful idiocy.

How about head to head?
2-2 I believe with UGA winning the SEC title in 05 and in BR in 08 and LSU winning in Athens in 09 (in large part thanks to an atrocious call) and winning the SEC Title last year. So unless I'm missing something you'll have to keep searching.

1-0, thought not all national titles are the same.

Nice attempt to sound smart. Unfortunately you've already proven yourself to be otherwise.

And once again the numbers you have provided do nothing to advance your argument that Richt is a better coach than Miles. I think Richt is a good coach-but to say he is better than Miles is supported by nothing other than your opinion.

So a 7-4 Bowl record is all you've got? The fact you have to use exhibition records to try and make a point says it all.
The records are virtually the same. Richt is an offensive/QB guy who has had outstanding QB play for all but one of his seasons in Athens.
Miles is an offensive guy who can't develop a QB and has coached the 109th ranked passing offense according to another poster in this thread.
It's pretty obvious who the better coach is.
But oh yea, he won a "national" title even though he couldn't beat Kentucky or Arkansas at home.

And I think Miles is a good coach but his numbers do not separate him from Richt in any meaningful way.
Maybe now that Miles has got a QB that has gotten some actual good QB coaching on his team he can break the top 100 in passing offense and win a national title that isn't a complete fluke.

How many National Championship game appearances has Richt had? I think those numbers separate them a great deal.

I think it no coincidence that you have no team affiliation. There is no argument you have advanced that supports your premise that Richt is better than Miles.

2007 means nothing to me, Miles had a team that was legit national title caliber and managed to lose to Kentucky and to Arkansas in the last game of the season at home. If anything it's a detriment to his ability.
Last year was his best coaching job but they were so poor in the biggest game (though it was wrong they had to play alabama again) that it left a sour taste in everyone's mouth despite the amazing regular season.
