Which football programs had the biggest moves both good and bad?

The Bad
Texas A&M is a complete shite show. Auburn isn't far behind. Because of the way the players rebelled at Mizzou it joins the discussion. USCe deserves honorable mention for the way they played and how bad they handled the coaching change.

The Good
Bama is on top where they belong. Then there is everybody else. Can LSU respond to a strange end of the season? They have the players. Arkansas looks good and so does Tennessee. Ole Miss loses several key players but is bringing back one of the best QBs in the nation.

Keep in mind though that throughout their history, the best A&M teams have had average quarterbacks and great running games.

The 2016 team doesn't look like it has either.

Steep down: Auburn, A&M, Missouri, SCar

Slight down: Kentucky, MSU

Steep up: Arky, UT, OM

Slight up: Vandy

Running in place: UGA, LSU

Hovering comfortably above everyone: Bama

Others: UF had the best incline at first and then fell off the cliff

Winners:

Gump - huge bounce-back with convincing wins after the Ole Miss loss
UT - dominated their bullshite late season schedule, but dominated nonetheless
UF - exceeded expectations despite the horrendous finish
OM - won Sugar Bowl easily

Losers:

Auburn - all 6 losses were to good teams... but 6 losses
Georgia - destroyed by Treon Harris = poor season
Kentucky - maybe it will just never happen for them
TAMU - 2nd season in a row they can't handle early season success (a sign of poor leadership)

Ole Miss fans have/are proven/proving that they cannot handle a little success and are well on their way to fricking up their karma forever.

I hate to see it, I really do.

Perhaps it's just tSECr that brings out the worst of you, I dunno.

Seems so flagshippish.

Yes, technically both were backups at some point during the season.

I know Georgia's on the Loser's list. Think they might be the 1st Power 5 team with 10 wins, that ends the season unranked.

Had LSU played McNeese, they almost assuredly hit 10 wins this season, and Miles was almost shown the door.

Crazy to think that the two longest tenured SEC coaches were almost both fired after posting 10 win seasons.

they're worse than we ever were. first off, we're funny where as they are not. we're also charming where as they are not. we're also about the people where as they are racist.

The standards seemed to be applied different in this thread. One team wins 7-8 games and its good another team wins 7-8 games and its bad...How so?

I always assumed it was the recent history/trend for that team.

If the year before was 4-8 or 10-2, could make a difference if they go 7-5/8-4

Previous years and expectations. Incline and decline. That's how these things work.

For example, if Les Miles goes 8-4 next year he may get fired. If Vandy goes 8-4, Derek Mason gets a raise.

Arkansas and Tennessee have been marred in the cellar for a while now. Though the records aren't stellar, they are respectable and the losses weren't complete blowouts. There is definitely improvement, despite the record.

LSU fans have an inflated sense of their program. Likely because two sec and and a national title in the past 8 years--though a more realistic view is the fact that the last two years they were horrible and they weren't even competitive in their losses.

Georgia just got fed up with always settling for 10 wins regardless of the talent or expectations.

All about perspective.
