I don't necessarily have a problem with Oklahoma.
From what I have seen and heard, I want nothing to do with Oklahoma's bed fellows, so if y'all are still tied to Texas, the SEC is not the place for you.

Prior to the Big 12 conference, OU was in the Big 8. Texas was in the Southwest Conference. They played an annual game, but OU was independent of Texas.
Point being, the perceived "ties to Texas" wasn't the case for decades prior to the Big 12, and may be overstated.
