You be sure to let us know when yards srart winning games.
Last i checked it was the score and Macs had enough for pretty much 2 10 win seasons with a team 2 seasons removed from a 4 win season under your daddy Muschemp
4 win seasons
Will 1
Mac 0
Frick you!

Give Mac time I'm sure he'll have us winning 4 games a year soon.

I don't understand why we went from one Saban guy to another much less why we decided to emulate their offense. Let Florida be Florida, we're not a smashmouth pro style program.
I don't get it either.
Both Florida and Georgia are tailor made for spread offenses. My estimate is you have three or four legit pass/run types coming out of the Atlanta area every year. More than that in Florida, but they are spread out.
Deshaun (Deshawn?) Watson types don't come along every year, but they are still pretty regular. You can just reload them every year.
Instead they seem to want to recruit guys like Eason and pray they have the traits to succeed as a pocket passer (positronic brain, rocket arm, etc).
It's a lot harder to find Andrew Luck or Matt Stafford types than Lamar Jackson. It's not just they physical traits (tall, strong arm, accurate). It's also that reads are harder for pocket passers (all the double coverage stuff is in full play with an immobile qb), they also have to go through all those checkdowns.
Whereas a running qb is almost guaranteed to see single coverage on the defenders (and if they do double one that is great for the offense), they don't have to go through all the reads since most of them are one or two at the most.
And if all else fails or the pocket breaks down they just run it themselves (along with the options and designed runs).

Did South Carolina end the season playing 23rd, 29th, 1st, and 24th rated defense? Maybe that contributed to our lower yards per game?

Florida also didn't get to play one of their cupcake games, and South Carolina got to play all of theirs, and UF also played Alabama and LSU in conference, while South Carolina played MSU and TAMU. I bet if you take away the game USCe played against Western Carolina, similar to how UF missed a game against Presbyterian, the stats would be different. South Carolina had 588 yards against Western Carolina, a huge outlier for them on the season, obviously.
Just food for thought.

Meh, your team manages a measly 24pts and 350yds of O against UMASS. No guarentee you do much better against Presb.

Average defense UF faced is ranked #59, Avg defense SoCar faced is #80 (out of 128). UF faced 5 top 25 defenses and 1 defense ranked 100 or lower, SoCar faced 3 top 25 defenses and 5 ranked 100 or lower.
This is apples vs oranges. Shut the frick up TJ.
