Will Wade has only recruited and welcomed players into the program that want to wear the Purple and Gold and that want to be a Student-Athlete under his tutelage. All the players received was a full athletic scholarship and whatever flavor PowerAde they wanted.
Naz Reid and Tremont Waters, and others have mentioned what really impressed him about LSU is it's one of only 21 universities nationwide designated as a land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant institution. It also holds the Carnegie Foundation’s designation as a Research University, reflective of our very high research activity.
Not only that, but Naz went to Roselle Catholic (NJ), he figured he'd be right at home continuing his faith. He liked that all of South La/Baton Rouge is all pretty much Catholic.
