Someone is going to have a hard time convincing me that anything is "significantly" louder than BDS, even with its acoustic problems. 101,821 people in the stands makes a lot of noise. The structure may not trap as high of a percentage as some stadiums. The field design and lower bowl may compromise some of the noise factor, but there is not a stadium that just blows BDS away in the atmosphere factor.

Are there future plans to expand JHS?

Major environmental impediments (i.e. underground river) to expanding J-H.

BDS has those too. Which is why the field level was never dropped to make room for more seating in the lower bowl.

I sat in the north upper deck in BDS for the LSU-Bama game and I was very surprised how quiet it was...maybe because I was so high up and used to being in a dome (I'm from new Orleans) with that said the loudest I have ever heard a stadium is the 2009 NFC championship game and the 08 bama game in tiger stadium when we blocked the FG to send it to OT and lose....I will say though as a visiting fan knowing it was around 103000 to 2000 in terms of fan base was very intimidating...regardless of what happened at the end of last seaso, winning that game in BDS will rank as the second best sports moment in my life

Jordan Hare is a plain dump on the outside.

The exterior is horrendous.

Which stadium has more history? Jordan-Hare or Bryant-Denny?

For Auburn folks who are interested, these are 2 excellent articles on the history of JHS:

It makes a huge difference where you sit. I was in that same upper deck for the Iron Bowl in 2010 and you could see people going crazy but it never got loud... Good lord they were pumped at kicking our arse in the first half.

Sat in the lower bowl in the corner near the field for the LSU game last year. It was loud as Hell. I loved watching the game and not really caring who won.

I'm just going to go ahead and go on the record here. I went to the Iron Bowl this past year in Jordan-Hare and I have to admit that it was louder there then it ever had been all of last season in BDS, that includes the LSU and Arkansas games. The noise was deafening in the first few minutes of the game.

Alabama fans are notorious for their lack of passion and enthusiasm at the games. They tend to look on in stoic silence, as if in humble reverence, while the team plays football. It irritates me to no end how the student section screams its head off while these Tide Pride douchers sit on their hands the whole game.

There were more visting fans than I have seen in 17 years of attending Auburn football games. Bama traveled very well.

They need to implement some new ticket rules to get rid of the older folks. Auburn did it a few years ago, and it's been noticeable.

It will never happen with Alabama's Tide Pride system.

This. Tide Pride practically owns Bryant-Denny Stadium. That's why the system is what it is.
