All LSU has to do to support your argument for being the better team is to beat us, fair and square. Losing a fairly officiated game is never going to support your argument.
BTW, it's a new year. May the best team win.

LSU usually has a better season then the piggies.
Arkansas has finished the season ranked higher than LSU just 2 times since we brought them on as a whipping boy 19 years ago.

1992 was our first year in the SEC and the worst season I can ever remember Arkansas having. We beat LSU.

Having attended LSU, they really dont have a rival. They hate Alabama, but Bama's rival is Auburn, and then Tennesee. They hate Ole Miss, but Ole Miss's is MSU.
So Tiger fans - who do you consider your rival?
I think LSU - Ark is a natural rival, it just needs more history. We are much more of a rival now, than a decade ago, and I think we'll be even moreso in a decade from now.
TAMU throws a little bit of a wrench in things though.

Natural or not, they're not our rival. We don't need one, though Texas A&M might be a possibility for them .

You know why Louisiana doesn't fall into the Gulf?
Because Arkansas sucks.
Because Arkansas sucks.

I know what you were responding to. You were the one that brought up head to head. The only way to compare head to head is by PAST records.

See, due to us having more of a history with aTm in the SWC, I see the rivalry developing with the Hogs moreso than LSU.
Whether we need one or not, it's happening. Even moreso now that we have Petrino.

Tulane is more of a rivel for LSU than Arkanasas. It probably has to do wit the fact that Tulane has actually won the SEC Championship a few times and therefore....actually did something to make us mad.

The worst LSU team I remember (Gerry Dinardo's last year, '99) we thumped the Cotton Bowl bound Hawgs 35-10 with an interim head coach. Congrats on being the only win on Hal Hunter's head coaching resume.

No, but it sure is nice to have some good spirited debates about our programs. It helps to pass my time at work.

Ancient history. Tulane left the SEC in 66., it's not the same conference.

I have seen a ton of jawing back and forth between Arkansas and LSU fans on here the last couple of seasons. Do Arkansas fans feel that they don't get the recognition LSU does even though the series has been pretty even lately? Is there maybe a true rivalry developing between us? Why all the bickering back and forth?
The cliff notes version goes something like this:
It's the regular season finale for both teams, and is the final determining factor in regards to bowl and ranking position before the post season. I don't think it's much more than that.
However, I do feel that a rivalry is stirring up. Most don't like it or agree with it, but I know that our coaches and players always look at this as a big one regardless of how the teams have faired throughout the season.
