All lottery scholarships have academic requirements to qualify. Candy doesn't have to define and disclose. EVERYONE on the baseball team (regardless of economic need) gets fully funded through "Opportunity Vanderbilt." This is why Candy has signed the #1 recruiting class 14 of the last 20 classes.

He is in a decent sized private school and has been there since Kindergarten. He is one of the top academic kids in his grade. Lowest grade ever on a report card is a 99.

He is in a 2 horse race with a kid that plays tennis for the best grades since they were in first grade. There is always a chance that some kid will transfer in, but even if that happens, it will have no effect on his academic opportunities in college.
