Lawrence won the 2020 Heisman in the 2018 NCG...it’s been on ice waiting for him to pick up for a couple of years. No way some one- hit wonder QB best known for the worst fake FG attempt in CFB history is taking it from him.

Both are deserving to win the H-E-I-S-M-A-N and they'll be in NY together to see who gets the trophy.
I had nothing but praise for Burrow's
year and he certainly deserved his accolades.. But, his JR. or redshirt jr. year he was lousy!
Coaching changed his abilities to play more comfortably and confidently...
Trask had very, very little experience, at all!
MAC came in last year and led us to a 3-1 record. His only loss was to AU in a game where he had two pick 6's.
Otherwise he obliterated AU'S hyped up defense! Obliterated!

Lawrence basically didn't play for a month in the middle of the season. He's not winning.

Honestly I have a feeling he will, but only because he’s a media darling. When he plays tough competition, he throws wide open balls for huge tall receivers to catch.

I think the biggest difference between the two is the types of defenses they throw against are drastically differently drawn up.
People know that Florida's rushing game is no where near that of Alabama. Trask is basically having to throw to win almost every game, whereas Mac doesn't need to. If Trask went down for a quarter, our offense would have to completely retool and have a major overhaul.
Alabama's offense can just lean on the rush, just to demonstrate:
Florida Passing TDs: 36
Florida Rushing TDs: 6
He is basically our entire offense, and even though defenses are playing pass defense the majority of the time, he is still getting it done.
Alabama Passing TDs: 24
Alabama Rushing TDs: 24
I'm not saying that Trask is better or Mac is worse, I'm just saying that Trask is having a lot more asked of him. He doesn't have a lot of one on ones, just look at his highlights. Most teams are dropping into cover-3 and 8 defenders, basically the opposite of Alabama's program where the opposing program loads the box to stop the run.
I think if Trask and Mac switched teams, as it were, they would likely do the exact same things. They are almost mirror images of each other.

I do t know if he will win it but I’ll say if he completes at the same percentage through sec cg and continues to throw 4/5 TD a game I think he will and it would be a great story of a kid waiting his turn sticking with it and finding so much success he plays himself into a much higher draft pick than before.
