Why is Tennessee getting far more hype than A&M?

All you hear is how the Vols are loaded with young talent, why don't they say the same thing about A&M. The Vols have averaged the 10th best recruiting class since Butch has arrived, the Aggies have averaged 9th. The coordinators at A&M are better. They have a better quarterback too. I don't get it. Listening to fans and talking heads, they dismiss A&M and act like Tennessee is on the verge of ruling the SEC.

I have thought the same thing. When you look at A&M and Auburn they had similar years and Auburn is getting loads more hype than A&M as well. I would assume people don't respect Sumlin's lack of commitment to controlling the game via the run. But it is interesting.

Take out that first class he had 3 weeks to work on and re-figure that average.

Maybe because their average wins since 2008 is 6 a year? Eventually they have to get to 7 right?

There was a time when going 3-5 in the SEC was a down season for Tennessee as well. Sad those days are gone
