They claim six? I thought they only had two legit titles.
38/40/50/51/67/98. The NCAA and SEC both only say 51 and 98 though.

Why is Tennessee displaying 6 crystal balls in their new facility?
Because they're smart enough to know that the majority of recruits aren't going to question it or actually research it to see if the claim is true.

He said 1992 was BCS era, and he's wrong, he knows he's wrong, you know he's wrong, NOW JUST STAND THERE IN YOUR WRONGNESS AND BE WRONG.

That's a nice chunk of hardware. We did the same in 96.

Except for the MacArthur Bowl. It permanently resides in the cfb hof now.

UT should try that instead of displaying Taiwanese knockoff versions of the AFCA trophy.

1992 was the granddaddy to the BCS.

BCS, Alliance and Coalition games, year-by-year
1992 Regular Season
In its first year, the Bowl Coalition was a rousing success. The Coalition was formed to increase the likelihood of matching the top two teams in the nation while creating other exciting bowl pairings that would appeal to fans and would be based on the full season's results. When No. 1 Miami met No. 2 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, it was the first pairing of the top two teams in a bowl game since Oklahoma and Miami played for the national title in the Orange Bowl after the 1987 season. The Crimson Tide beat the Hurricanes and won the national championship in both the coaches and the writers polls.

Bama has won it 7 times, (1961, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012). Here's a picture it being presented to Coach Bryant for the 79 championship.

It's like the Stanley Cup in that the winning team would keep it for a year. They decided to keep it in the cfb hof now (obviously with "2014 The Ohio State University" as the latest inscription).
