He really could. then all the "experts" who are saying he is on the hot seat will be singing his praises, you see it every year somewhere.

his demise has been a work in progress. yea, he could absolutely win 10 games. he can also give another 6-7 abortion.

i'll gladly eat crow if he wins us the East but he has gotten complacent as hell and it has resulted in Georgia's fall

When your the head coach at UGA in that recruiting hotbed, you should be on the hot seat if you don't damn near win the east every couple years.

Fair enough I will agree with that.

yeah, it's pretty bad when a school with the resources of Georgia only wins 6 games a year. He should absolutely be on a very hot seat.

besides 2007 i don't see any year where they had a real chance coaching or not. no one in that division was going to overtake UF from 08-09 and they started a freshmen in 2010. i think they could very well win it in 2011...South Carolina doesn't impress me.

you had NO shot in 2008. that Florida team was the best i've seen since i have watched SEC football. OM was probably one of the most talented teams they saw that year and caught them by surprise.

Him winning 10 games in 2011 doesn't change the fact that he is currently on the hot seat. He is most certainly on the hot seat right now no matter how many we win next year.

He's on the hot seat because he has been there as long as he has, and hasn't brought a national championship back. When you're able to recruit the state of GA and FL that well you should at least have one title. I hope he can win a lot of games this year I like Richt.

So you dont think winning 10 games and playing in ATL will take him off of said hot seat?

doesn't explain the 3 horrendous losses he coached in a team that began as a preseason #1.

you also are forgetting the teams typical lack of discipline, them being weaker and out of shape, poor poise under pressure, and a general malaise that has taken over the program. UGA is going in a FAR different direction than that is expected of a Georgia football team. Richt brought us back but fans will be damned to let him drag them right back where he got them. he's going fulmer on us.

they've won one national title in 30 years...a lot of you can't grasp how difficult that is. before saban it had been over 40 years since LSU won a title with all that louisiana talent. before Vince Young Texas hadn't won a title since the 60s...and they have the most talent in the nation. the thought that you HAVE to win a national title b/c of location is stupid. it's not that easy.
