It is about ratings and eyeballs, sadly. There are NFL games later in the day so 11 AM is their prime time spot that day.

I'm linking a list of the top 20 college football viewership numbers for the 2025 regular season.

Miami is #19. Bama is #1.

7 of the top 8 are SEC teams. Ohio State is the exception.

FSU is the highest rated ACC team at #14.

ND is #15.
