You Texas fans might not have paid much attention but LSU tried for 2 years to hire Fisher. He declined, and now he's won 2 of the 3 games vs LSU, so LSU fans are scared shitless that they'll be relegated to 3rd in the west, at best, even if Texas and OU don't come over.

He declined in 2016 after LSU left him at the altar in 2015.
