He does not play p5 OOC teams at State, when they did (Okie Lite and GT), he lost those.

He’d have Kirby, Saban, and whoever Florida hire, and what is typically a decent OOC matchup to start the season.

They do. They are playing it down because he turned them down and declined to interview, as has been posted on various UT boards.

Mullen has feasted on a shitty schedule with at least 4 cupcakes and a couple of down conference teams and there's hour bowl.

You know how it is. when somebody don't want you, then you don't want them. Mullen sucks anyways. What's his record against ranked teams?

Mullen has zero aspirations of furthering/bettering his career if he doesn't take the tenn job if offered. I personally wouldn't want a coach who is satisfied with being an average coach for an average program. If he were to turn down the tennessee job, he basically is saying he's scared of the bigtime pressures thag come with being a bigtime coach at a bigtime program...which state is not. You can't win big at miss st, it's just not gonna happen. This season and ones like it are as good as it gets there. Tenneasee is a much better job than state with a much higher ceiling, but with that job comes higher expectations and pressure to actually win something of significance, rather than a win over LSU or auburn every once in a while and competing with bama every once in a while. State is a joke, and if mullen is satisfied with being there, more power to him, but he's not ever going to be considered a great coach at miss st.
