Why hasn't Arkansas picked up a head coach for basketball yet?

Is it because they know about Pio's jinxing? So they'll inevitably be doomed?

I need your definition of "good". If by "good" you mean rarely making the NCAA Tournament, then yes Mike was a great coach.

Fayetteville has been ranked multiple times as best to live in the SEC and Top 5 city in the country, but carry on.

Beard is waiting for UT to open. Otherwise, he has family in the Lubbock region, tons of support, and will not leave TT
Problem for Beard waiting on Texas is that Shaka has the young core to do good things the next few years out there. I cannot see him being fired after this NIT run

Because I think we have a couple dumbass/arrogant boosters that want to talk to Beard if though everyone in the country knows hes not coming to arkansas. We need to hire Musselman and end this before someone else gets him.

Hes the best hire we can get at this point and he'd be a fantastic hire. But at this point I'm pretty sure we are about to get stuck with our dick in our hand because our money guys are arrogant dumbasses.

Just because I did the gamethread when Wichita State was up 11 on Lipscomb and then they lost. Doesn't make me a jinx.
The Arkansas job has to be posted for 10 days by law since it's a state employee job.

A plethora of qualified coaches expressed interest when the job opened up. It takes a while to sort through all of the candidates. Thank you for your interest in Arkansas basketball.

99% of Arky fan base think their AD is in Minneapolis drinking beers with Chris Beard at the bar. Word on the street is that Arky AD will be allowed on the court after tech win the natty. That is when he will announce that Chris beard is the new Arky coach. He is gonna celebrate with their fans as a gesture of good will.
