Why has the SEC allowed the governor of Alabama to attack Auburn with their new rules?

Seems their governor has been inserting politics into their school also.?
She has done a lot this year including attacking many things that include DEI?
Does the SEC not see that as something that is important to them?
Seems line this should be a much bigger issue then has been spoken about. It’s clearly racist and loltocslly motivated?

Alabama is a deep red state, so that’s why. I’m gonna let you in on a little secret. The faculty at the University of Alabama is really unhappy with all of that too. I’m not sure where you get that it’s an attack on Auburn. It’s not just the governor. It’s the whole state legislature. BUT it has absolutely zilch to do with sports.

Seems like this would be a much bigger and important story considering the state of the country right now to the masses. SEC would get killed by the press Why has it not?
