I'm all for it. In fact, let's say frick the NCAA and create our own National Title with these teams.

Don't like it... Even if we needed the Conference to get smaller I say we just throw a few teams out. Plus I think things are going to opposite direction. Conferences will get bigger before they get smaller. I say go with super conferences add regular season games so you don't lose any rivalry games and cut out all the stupid pointless bowls.. Hey look we are the BBVA Compass bowl champs!!! Really pointless.

And before anyone says you cant's add games because of school as I have heard in the past just remember these are Athlete Students not Student Athletes.

SEC expansion is killing traditional rivalries, both intra- and inter-conference.

It really does, Georgia fans want to play Clemson, Auburn fans want to play Georgia Tech, South Carolina fans would LOVE to play the North Carolina schools that compose two of their oldest/longest rivalries. Super Conferences kill scheduling freedom.

I wanna play UA, UGA, UF every year. FSU & GT every year would be awesome as well, with UT, USC, and CU on occasion.

Right now, we're getting UA and UGA every year, UF and UT on occasion, and all the others once in a blue moon. It makes zero sense to go out west and play A&M and Arky every year when Tallahassee is like 150 miles south of us and Atlanta's 100 miles west.

Yeah, but it's not about what's easier. Those schools have to want to join the conference as well. It may not have been reported but I'm sure Slive was on the phone with more schools that just A&M and Mizzu when everything was being considered.

Can we leave Clemson out? I'm tired of playing them. I hate them and their goofy arse coach.

frick that shite I wanna go to games easier

ETA: And, you know, rivalries & whatnot. I've got FSU and UF family, vs. I know all of one Arkansas fan and zero Aggies.

Oh I'm right there with you. I would love to be able go to more away games, (especially since it been sometime that I have been to one. ) but also those $$$ are in everyone's eyes. And with the Texas and St. Louis market, Slive is going to hold ESPN and CBS for ransom.

Let's see.

Conference of UF, AU, Bama, LSU, USCe, UGA, GT, Clemson, FSU, UT.

That's all we need. The last 6 National Champs, plus the only SEC East Teams to win the division, and their rivals. It works out perfectly.

The entire nation will be in shock when they witness the fat contract Slive is about to get for the SEC.

Well I have family at Texas A&M, LSU, and UT. I know no one at UGA, USCe, or Clemson.

So what's easier for you ain't what's easier for me. And I don't know about you but I want Bama and Auburn to still play each other. I want Bama to play Arky, I want Bama to play LSU. Are we gonna stop playing Miss State even though Bama and MSU are the two closest schools in the SEC? Tuscaloosa and Starkville are only 80 miles apart.

So do you involve Bama (the most influential and biggest money-maker) or not? Either way you've got a problem.

Yeah, it's not perfect, but it's a solution to a growing problem that needs to be addressed.

I'd just take AU moving to the East tbh

But then you'd force us to give up the Bama-UT rivalry.

Then Alabama is going to go to Montgomery and tell them to lick balls and we'll see you every 4-6 years because we'll be keeping Tennessee. Then we'll welcome LSU to December.

East: Clemson, SC, FSU, GT, Miami, UF, UGA, UT

West: Arky, Auburn, A&M, Bama, LSU, Okla St, OU, Texas

winner = national champion

If were were to go to another conference why bring Alabama? I mean they already have the advantage in the SEC.

The fear is palpable.

I'm perfectly fine with that.

I think this state has proven that having the Iron Bowl every year is a bit too much to handle for some of our... less educated fans.
