Auburn fans it's ok, your program officially went off the rails this off-season but I'm sure your boosters will find some way to pay off the next Cam Newton-type talent.

2013: BCSNCG
2014: Ranked #3 in the first two CFP Poll
2015: Preseason top 10
2016: Played in a Big 6 Bowl (Sugar)
2017: SECW Champ and Played in a Big 6 Bowl
2018: Pre-season top 10, moved to #8 by week 6
2019: #7 by week 6 of the season
2020: Pre-season Top 10
Didn't finish well, but every year they were part of the conversation at some point in the season. The problem was Gus could never take them over the hump.
Never heard Low IQ Irons. The topic of UGA underachieving has generated 5 pages so far, I guess I am smart enough to hit a sore spot for UGA Fans.

Man, preseason rankings and Big 6 Bowls that Gus always lost does not a championship conversation make. Auburn fans were the only ones seriously having those conversations.
Hell, 2017 when AU beat back to back #1 teams, the conversation was short lived and y’all ended up having to watch BOTH OF the teams you beat duke it out for the NC. Of course Gus bent AU over a barrel and has his way with your Admin when he leveraged freaking Arkansas for that idiotic contract.

Like I said, they were in the conversation at some point in the season. If Gus was so bad, you would have even heard from AU during any part of the season. Gus had a team poised to make a run for a championship, he always failed to come thru. 2017 and 2019 were perfect examples. Early loses to LSU put them on a fine line to make it happen and then he would blow another game. Then beating the Bama both years. That was the consistency of Gus that got him fired and kept his job for so long. If Ellis Johnson was just an average DC, AU could have easily won back to back NC in 13 and 14.

No most of it is UGA who can not counter the argument of the subject, so they try to attack the poster. We know how it works for some fan bases on here.

Damn pre-season polls www way off. I guess with a returning QB and WRs and adding Morris to the mix looked promising early.

Returning OL on paper also. Schedule set up well . UGA early and the only other challenge until Bama looked like maybe a full strength LSU at home.

Adding Morris was a huge mistake! But I thought that was clever on Gus part. That he ended with a huge payout!
