My thought is that UGA plays in the SEC with arguably the best talent in the nation and has to get past at least juggernaut year after year in order to even make it to the playoffs, much less win it all. It's not exactly easy to do.

Ok, so UGA is consistently not better than 3-4 teams each year but better than the rest. Sounds about right. Is this underachieving with the way UGA recruits tho? Or no? Just asking.

So when you say "Juggernaught" do you mean Alabama, LSU, and Florida? Those are the last 3 SEC teams that kept you from the big dance.

Go back further than 2017 to 2012. We beat Alabama in Atlanta and we are the ones to obliterate Notre Dame in the BCS title game. The SECCG was a de facto semifinal.
