Oregon backed out, and they were available. I'm really interested in the rematch next year, especially with their entire DL graduating to the NFL

Actually SoS doesn't really matter, as evidenced by OU in the playoffs

Because there are only so many times you can play Northwestern State, Lamar, Texas State, UTSA, or Texas A&M Kingsville.

As an A&M fan, I tend to agree with that. We will not be favored to win in at least 4 games due to inferior talent. (@Clemson, Bama, @UGA, @LSU). One could argue that we have comparable talent to the rest of the teams we face, but will likely lose to one of them on the road.
I think 7-5 is a reasonable prediction for A&M for next year. Would win 10 games in Big12 though.
