I haven't read any if the responses to your question.
But trust me...if Bama calls, Dabo comes home. Why?
It's HOME! Born and raised Bama fan, walked on, earn a scholorship, gave him his first job, his blood runs crimson.
Plus, did I mention it's HOME

his home was Pelham, to the south of B"ham.
he's been at Clemson i think for like 15 years , maybe longer.

In any event, the topic is would Swinney leave Clemson for Alabama, and he's already said if they even called, he'd have to consider it. "I'd never say never".

he said it would be based on what his relationships were with people at Clemson at the time.
if Bama had been struggling, i could seem him wanting to go back to get it back on track. but to follow up a coach that won 4 or more titles? even if he won titles there, people would still credit Saban for it.

What do you expect him to say? Yes I'd go, or no never?
He's not going to say either of those things publicly.
If Alabama calls, he comes...period.

ok, says a alabama homer who doesn't know Dabo.
a lot of Saban's success has been the fact the SEC hasn't been that good in recent years.

Also, the Bama fans on here saying they don't want him are ignorant. Especially in light of the fact that he's about to win his first National Championship in my opinion.
I'm a Bama Fan, member of the REC and an Alumni. If Saban left today, Dabo will be the next coach at Bama.
Things might change in the future, but he's the guy TODAY

What leds you to believe I don't know Dabo? ....???
Posted on 1/1/17 at 7:30 pm to cmayes56
logical assumption. lol
i'm baffled as to how anybody can think Bama is a superior job to Clemson though, unless you talking only about $$$$$$. he is already winning a lot at Clemson.

Wishful thinking.

Then you're a bigger idiot than previously believed.

It's not wishful thinking at all.

The SEC hasn't been that good? Really? You just lost all credibility.
An SEC school has played for the National Title 10 of the last 11 years.
The SEC mat be down a little this year...but will still end up with a winning bowl record.

that doesn't mean there has been competitive depth. it mostly been Saban and Meyer with the Cam Newton auburn team and kind of a fluke LSU win with Miles.
Saban has basically owned the conference so it def. is not as comeptitive as people make it out to be.
