Why does everyone already want to expand the CFP?

First everyone want to get rid of bowl games that aren't part of the CFP, because those game are meaningless. Now fans want a larger CFP.... for what, so that everyone gets a participation trophy?

Hopefully this CFP stays ar 12teams.

As a fan I want to keep the bowl games, whether they are missing players or not. Actually it seemed the games were better with players who wanted to be there and trying to prove themselves for next season.

It'll end up somewhere around 24-30 teams.

That and traveling to certain bowl games was fun. For example, NOLA with Ole Miss fans was wild. Or going to Phoenix and making it a golf trip/bowl game.

The downside is playing in a bowl game in places like Memphis.

They know their team only has a chance with more slots. As a fan of a team that doesn’t have much of a chance I prefer if it’s smaller. Eventually it will be 16 and teams with 3+ losses who spend 25 mil on a roster.

I think eight teams is the ideal number, twelve is too many. Qualifying should be an accomplishment, and a smaller field enhances the significance of regular season games.
