Why do the Alabama players refer to the university as an "organization?

It helps to distinguish between getting paid and not getting paid and between being a student athlete and a professional athlete. That's my limited understanding of being part of an organization.

Nah, they just don't realize that their football team is associated with a university because they didn't go to Alabama to "play school".

I don't think they're talking about the university. I think they're talking about the ball club.

Don't let me prevent you from being obtuse, though.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because they're actually organized, unlike the end of MSU's season.
