texas fans are some of the most arrogant fans in the country and even more than florida fans. They also hate how we go in for a weekend steal a few recruits and come home. T

i would venture to say that they would an extra loss in their schedule if they played in the sec. but they still would compete and win here

No clue but I would guess they think the SEC gets too much hype and is overrated which we might be; only time will tell. They know that their conference is perceived as a bunch of gunslingers with no defense and I am sure that resent that as well.

that was just a booster shot. i was raised in texas and left for 35 yrs (21 in LA). i firmly believe that a great many of texas fans can't stand it when another school, esp from a different state upsets their sense of entitlement. many of them, even older ones (though not so bad) have bought into the crap that everything in texas is bigger and better.
even when they lose, they still feel they are better than the other team. remember the "hook 'em horns" thing in Omaha? that was just them saying they were the better team. their superiority complex really get disgusting after awhile. i have a neighbor that knocks Lsu because we have to recruit out of state players while they don't. don't ask me why that is supposedly "better" but he sure thinks so (and i've heard that before). never mind the entire state of LA has 40% less people than houston metro alone. anyway that's my $.02. i really can't say i've met the first texas fan that was cool.
