The SEC was founded in 1933.

LSU did win their conference championship in 1896(SIAA), 1908(SIAA), & 1932(Southern) but do not think we claim these titles.

He doesn't actually have a source.

4 Southern Conference championships and 23 SEC championships. Sources are numerous and consistent. If my team sucked like Florida and LSU I wouldn't be worried about silly things that in no way make things better for my team.

Looks like the SIAA never officially awarded a conference title in football either.

And still no source.

It looks like the NCAA has them listed here. Pg 14.

That's interesting, because both the SoCon and SEC media guides start out in 33.

I'd suggest the higher authority here is the NCAA. It's unfortunate the media guides are lacking though.

The NCAA also notes this though on the same page - no records available until 1933.

And on page 18, the NCAA doesn't recognize any SIAA "titles" claimed by some SEC schools like Auburn. They need to be consistent.

They've got SoCon titles listed all the way back to the 20's. If the NCAA record isn't good enough then you must just be arguing to argue.

Nothing gets past you. You always bring the "logos" to an argument

It wouldn't be the first time that the NCAA is wrong.

It is interesting that you are raising this issue. I am pretty sure you have tried to claim conference titles for Florida for 1984 and 1985 in some of your previous lame post on this board. The SEC does not recognize those titles...at least not anymore
