Bunch of philistines up in here.
Anyone who can't appreciate the beautiful game is but a ignorant Neanderthal.
Those of you bemoaning a 0-0 match sound like the unwashed masses from the Big 12 and PAC 12 who whine about "boring defensive SEC" games.
Boors. The whole of you.

Soccer has now became the second most popular sport among under 25 year olds in the US.
And so it continues. The pussification of America.

as a huge soccer fan, I don't want college soccer to become popular.
Genuinely curious as to why
I'm not a soccer fan, but if I was, I would probably show interest in my university's team (or club)

I hate this attitude from soccer fans almost as much as I hate soccer.
It INSISTS on itself.
I don't get it. Games are boring frick-fests, floppity flop gaybirds and no scoring.
Hell you're lucky if there are a few "shots on goal" meaning, moments of the game when there is even a chance of a goal being scored.
In Football, literaly EVERY play holds the potential for a score.
You have to watch every second.
Soccer is like tiddlywinks. Hate it.

The SEC should add wrestling. The South should own this sport.

Yea but they play in the fricking c-usa. Just imagine an all SEC soccer conference with 30,000 fans a game.

I've known a few Americans who were genuine soccer fans.
The rest were just forcing themselves to be fans because they actually believe that crap. Sad.

Sports bars in Fayetteville are overrun by hipster queefs every four years for the World Cup.
Its a boring game. Its a less exciting version of hockey, for poor countries that can't afford anything but a ball and a net.

I love soccer, but will admit I hate when people do this shite.

I disagree here though. Soccer is a pretty simplistic game, it's never hard at any minute, and any team can score relatively quickly. Just like hockey to me, the game isn't ever over due to the ability to quickly score.

Soccer sucks and title IX is my guess

Yeah I followed the last world cup. It was fricking awful. That championship game was the worst sporting event I've ever seen. Just girly men jogging around and flopping all over for 90 damn minutes plus fricking overtime. No action, no nothing, just pure gayness. I'm never watching again.
And I WANTED to like it.

The bottom line is this:
In football, any play of the game can be a scoring play, all game long. This is exciting and riveting.
In soccer, maybe 6-10 plays over three hours can be potential scoring plays. Many games, its like 4 or 5 plays.
There's just no action.
