Why would a coordinator buy property? Have you followed college football before?
because most adults who plan on living somewhere more than a couple of years generally buy homes if they have the means.

why did you post a thread in late October?
Because it was my favorite. There were plenty though.
This one is FULL of sunshine pumping right after Steele was hired:
quote:
Steele will do very well. He will also be coaching at LSU long after Donut Boy has been run off from TAMU.
quote:
He his a pretty highly regarded LB coach. I'm guessing the defensive staff will play a large role in game planning. There's a ton of knowledge on this staff.
quote:
As for Steele, maybe he's learned from prior experience and will be better for it. O is a huge coaching upgrade on the DLine, as well......Talent is there....coaching will be better
quote:
I'm just glad Chavis is gone. I hope for A&M's sake he improves their defense, but God Damn I was getting sick of our defense getting worse and worse every year and becoming very predictable. I don't know what Steele is going to bring, but right now I feel a lot better about starting the season with a fresh face at DC that looks to have a good bit of potential.
etc. etc.

so individual fans are supposed to apologize for the alleged comments of the collective "we"?
Obviously, because yall make us have to defend ourselves for whatever jackass shite the corps pulls out of their arse. On the Rant its all for one and one for all.

I hope you see the irony in calling anyone thin skinned. Apple doesn't fall far from the LSU tree; you must get it from your father.
I have learned that deflection is the closest thing I will get to you admitting LSU fans were wrong.

Yeah jackass I have. For a guy that says he wants to retire at A&M, I'd figured he'd buy or build a house there. Cam Cameron built a house in BR and Aranda is going to move down here as well.

even the posts you quoted are on par with what plenty have said. Besides the one, which is likely referencing the talent LSU has. The rest give the same vibe-underwhelmed by the hire.

You seem to have a lot invested in this, good luck to you.

Ehh, AU's offense appeared to have trouble punching it in for TDs in several games and just plain sucked in others. Stats may indeed prove the RZ offense was great even though they appeared to struggle.

I've admitted that none of us wanted to admit we got the raw end of the deal. Idk what you want from me. I feel like I'm discussing wedding plans with my fiancé right now. Stop being so emotional and taking this terrible arse board to heart. You'll be a better person for it.

from the thread you posted
but yeah the collective "we" thought it was a great hire...
quote:
Whether Steele is a downgrade or not remains to be seen. If he sucks next year, he can be replaced. We definitely upgraded on the line and that's where our problem has been. Everything is hypocritical until the season plays out...
quote:
Steele is, without a doubt, a downgrade.
quote:
I don't like the hire much, but I'm going to wait and see what he can do with the talent LSU has on the roster before I say he's terrible.
quote:
I am with most though in that I think it was an average to below average hire AT BEST.
but yeah the collective "we" thought it was a great hire...

To be fair to yall, you didn't go into full "defend Steele" mode until a few months in when we Aggies were digging the Chavis knife in really deep on purpose.
Here is a wonderful example of that phenomenon:

Imagine the melt if both Chavis and Steele end up with better defense this year.

I don't think even you can create a troll argument for that

And then you try to excuse it like its par-the-course for the entire Rant, even though only LSU fans get to have a right to be forgotten on here.

Idk what you want from me.
Just a straight up "we were wrong about Steele" without the equivocation.

even the OP in that thread comes across as underwhelmed and questioning. You're emotional right now and not thinking clearly. I promise cardboardboxer, we didn't like the hire. And if you believed we did when it was posted on here, then idk what to tell you. But those people were lying to you. They just were. Don't accept candy from strangers, either.

when the majority of fans were underwhelmed with the hire, wanted to take a wait and see approach, but were happy with the Coach O hire, what exactly are LSU fans supposed to apologize for?

I knew they were. I said so back then. Hence my whole point.

How can I say we were wrong about Steele when we didn't like the hire? If anything I'll admit that we were right about Steele. You were too, if that makes you feel any better about all of this.
