51 Wins better than Arkansas, that's over 5 10 win seasons better, man that has a nice ring to it.
That be great and relevant if it mattered in my current argument. Congrats!

He's just trying to bait as many LSU fans as he can. Not even he can believe what he's saying. Just ignore him and let the thread die. We have a game with the #3 team in the nation this weekend to focus on anyway, offseason over.

If you beat the body, the mind will follow. Just think about last year, 4th quarter, right here in Little Rock, LSU, [we] started the ball on the 9 yard line... a play-action pass to DJ [Williams], and then we ran the ball 8 straight times, and finally their mind quit, and we won the game.
Can't argue, but Hatcher as well as the 4th down touchdown pass really deflated our guys and Arky was able to run us out of the stadium

Just wondering- where are you getting your info?

Also AP top 10 finishes during that time frame. 13 for Arkansas and 9 for LSU. Also considered 10 win seasons, where Arkansas had 9 and LSU had 4 during that time. Losing seasons as well, where Arkansas had only 10 losing seasons and LSU had 16 losing seasons during that time frame.

Oh my Bad Hawgeye, I didn't mean to get in the middle of an argument you were having with your imaginary friend. For a minute there, I thought we were having an argument about who has the better football program historically. Nevermind me carry on!!

So am I to take it that it's fair to pick a particular time period in order to make it appear your program was better?

I was told by one of your faithful that Arkansas had never had a better program than LSU. So, I went with the 50 or so years prior to LSU making the Nick Saban hire.
It seems like so many LSU fans forget about what your program actually was for so many years before the hiring of Saban, yet Arkansas fans get laughed off this board for feeling the same way about the hiring of Petrino.
So, I chose a nice even number at 50 years prior to 2000 to show that yes, Arkansas has had a better program for an extended amount of time.

You guys do it all the time, and don't try to say that you don't. (I don't mean you in particular)
Besides, why in the F is this even being debated? Football is just a few days away, this is offseason shite.

You have a seriously delusional belief about the historical success and superiority of your football program.
Even one of your own fans called you out for being such a delusional homer. No one in their right mind would say Arkansas has a better program historically then LSU. No one. That eats at you but it is the truth.

No, you took the one period that everyone agrees that LSU and Arkansas were roughly on the same level and touted it as "proof" that Arkansas was a better program than LSU during that period, which it doesn't show at all.

If "so many years" you mean 11 then ok. But it's undisputed that LSU was a top 15 program every decade from the 30's through the end of the 80's before the anomaly that is the 1990s. It's also undisputed that Arkansas was worthless before the 60's and has been basically worthless since the beginning of the 90's. They key distinction here is that for Arkansas, the anomaly was not the down time, the anomaly was the relatively brief period (30 years out of 120) in which you were just as good as LSU.
And FML for biting again even though I know you're not dumb enough to believe the shite you're shoveling and are just trying to rile us up.

We better have whipped the shite out of them!! I'm not going back to be sure.
We know Arkansas has played ULM more times than LSU has. They've been a Little Rock regular and I believe Arkansas even had some weird way of allowing them to be the home team for one of those games so they could improve their average home game attendance for NCAA requirements.

It's ok BeeFense5, he finally explained himself, he was pointing out several decades of Arkansas being up when LSU was down. Historically overall, we both know LSU has had a more successfull program accross the board and that's a fact.
You can go Most Wins, Bowl Game wins, Top 10 finishes etc.

I'm down for scheduling USCw again now that we are notably improved.

Fair enough.
The BS (Before Saban) era at LSU is somewhat of a mystery to a lot of folks.
It's true- there were lots of good times and bad. But clearly more good. The 1989-94 years made a lot of people down here forget, I suppose.
As for Arkansas, anyone who doesn't recognize the name Frank Broyles is either a youngster or knows nothing about college football. On another note- I always enjoyed his color commentating on ABC, as well.
I'd say both programs have a great history, and the series SHOULD get more credit for the rivalry it is than it seemingly does. I also think "The Boot" isn't as ugly as some say it is.
Some may disagree (
)- but I look forward to the Tigers playing the Hogs each year. It's a natural rivalry- and I'm already looking forward to Nov. 25th.
