They have every reason to be upbeat.....first year in SEC....10 wins......Heisman QB as a frosh.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but what makes you say this? What puts A&M above UT? UT just won a MNC in 2005, and a conference championship in 2009, A&M hasn't even played in a BCS in over 15 years almost. That's my reasoning why you can't say this, and you surely aren't basing your statement on 1 season, because it takes plenty more than that to fully consider 1 program on a level above another.

In the next month A&M will have secured commitments from the top ranked Texas player in the class of 2013 and the class of 2014 (RSJ and Scott).
While we don't know what next year will bring on the field, we are most definitely recruiting at an elite level right now.

My reasoning would be that the state's best player in 2013--a guy who was formerly committed to the horns--will be an Aggie within weeks.
A&M will have three 2014 commitments by the end of December, 2 of which hold Horn offers. We won't win every head to head with Texas, but we don't have to for the worm to turn.
A&M's 2013 class is LARGE and littered with HIGH quality players. The 2014 class will be even better.

From the outside looking in......A&M is on the rise and UT is not big brother for much longer.
Here's to LSU and Bama supplanting this BB role though.

Oh great 1 guy, welcome to the world of big time recruiting, where 1 guy always makes you think your class is made, but so often they disappoint. It takes depth, 30 great recruits, over 4 years not just 1 guy every 3 years.

So this is all based on conjecture and speculation for the future? Got it. UT has owned A&M the last 20 years and they BLOW AWAY A&M in terms of wins.

Being in the SEC will be a boon for A&M
