Because of the way UF handled the situation. They refused to meet with LSU to negotiate the relocation of the game. They purposely waited until it was impossible for the game to be played as scheduled to make a decision and it costed LSU two home games. UF's campus was already scheduled to be closed the days before and the day of the game but the AD purposely delayed making any decisions.

Besides all of that, the worst part is that UF accused LSU of being selfish and greedy because of their attempts to have the game played as scheduled and the media backed UF's pettiness up. On the day of the game both teams had a fight because of the of the situation and it was obvious that Coach McElwain used it as petty bulletin board material. Regardless of the outcome of the game, UF was unprofessional and that isn't lost on any LSU fan.

So you were a part of the negotiation process? Didn't the SEC commissioner commend UF on the way they handled the situation?

It's hard to move on from something when every post about the BYU game has LSU fans whining about the Florida game last year.

Thanks George. I'm sure we will be subjected to pictures of PP7's "interception" and Zach Gilbert hanging on Early Doucet from way back in 2006. Why can't LSU let go of the past??

Because Florida is the one team out of five that was unwilling to discuss contingencies in the week leading up to the game. Four other teams, no problem. For the record, LSU didn't get what they wanted, they had to cancel a game for the second year in a row. LSU wanted to play Florida on the weekend it was scheduled - just like the other 4 games that were adjusted to accommodate weather conditions. For some reason UF is the only school who won't cooperate.

^^^^ this ^^^^^

Watch LSU and BYU will get this game played with very little issue

What the frick are you talking about? The game was at Florida, LSU offered to play them Sunday in Gainesville, Monday in Gainesville, Saturday in Tiger Stadium. If you want to know why Florida had no contingency plans, you'd have to ask them.

Do you know what all Arkansas' road game opponents' contingency plans are? Neither do we.

LSU set up multiple plans to somehow play the game, they offered to play on Sunday. They offered multiple sites. They reached out to Foley on Tuesday to try to change the venue or the date. That's why Foley saying they only had a day and a half to potentially plan a road trip is complete bullshite. The governor of FL had made it clear this Hurricane was deadly early on yet Florida seemed to think nah we're gonna be fine. Then after the Hurricane "changed courses" according to Foley (except it was being predicted to hit Gainesville the entire time) he said they had no other choice but to cancel the game last minute. And to add to it, Foley acted childish by bitching out LSU in his press conference when there was nothing to bitch about. But yet it's LSU's fault, because they got the "better deal". Yeah they played in TS for 2 years straight but now they'll Gainesville for two years straight too. And LSU lost a home game, revenue that they needed to help further assist the community after the floods earlier in the year. But people think we screwed Florida over? Look at every other time LSU had to relocate games, here's a couple examples: successful after Katrina against ASU, successful with SC a couple years back after the flooding. Do you support the argument now?

It does get tiring. Especially when there isn't any creativity.

I think that was the post everyone was looking for. Is everyone satisfied now?
