He tried clocking it with one second left.
Well, that and the whole shitshow against UT. They ran it on a goal-to-go situation with no timeouts, were stopped short and fumbled the high snap on the next play. Of course, they were saved by UT outderping them .
I don't know how UGA deciding not to spike the ball ie even comparable to those two.

South Carolina came off a very electric and emotional home game win against their East division rival. Williams-Brice stadium is South Carolina's Death Valley. The South Carolina that played Georgia was played at a significantly higher level than the South Carolina that you saw the rest of the month and/or season. Location. Location. Location.
Finally, some logic. We got into it a little last night but I actually enjoyed it because you had reason behind your answers and weren't blinded with purple and gold rays of light coming out of Mettenberger's arse.

Thanks.
I never envisioned that this thread would make it to 25 pages. At least we'll have a great read after the game.

Waitwaitwiat a minute. Didn't Jordan jefferson pull a similar stunt awhile back? Clock the ball on fourth down or something? I can't quiiiite pull it out of my memory but he did several stupid mistakes...yet you guys stuck to him like gum on the bottom of a chair.
Jordan Jefferson has a higher winning % than Murray. Thanks for comparing Murray to JJ.

You do realize that YPC go down when your carries go up. Also LSU out threw and out rushed UGA. Our TOP is high because we converted third downs. That's a plus for LSU not some damning stat.
Also the fact that you said LSU and UGA offense in the Bama game is a push , further states that UGA's offense wasn't some great off.

Then I guess you just don't understand football. If you can't understand trying to get matchups on the field, I can't explain it to you...not like this. Not trying to blow you off or anything, but matchups are what this game is all about today. Georgia didn't want Alabama to get a different set of players on the field so they took a chance and ran a play. Looking back, it was a mistake. Had it worked, Georgia probably would be sitting with a National Championship.

You should be better than this.

Also. Of the 3 good defense UGA faced, their offense reached 300 total yard of offense, ONCE. That's not the sign of some great offense.

Saaaaay WHAT? They don't if you run the ball well. What in thew world kind of statement is that? YPC goes down because the number of carries go up????? Wow. I am speechless. I truly am.

This picture best sums up what will happen to the Dawgs

Holy shite. Why do you think their is a minimum carry amount for SEC rushing records? Come on. This is common knowledge.
The fact that you don't know ypc go down with rushing attempts shows how much you know.

Understandable. However, Gurley had remarkable success against Alabama just like your Hill.

Also LSU out threw and out rushed UGA.
25/36 for 296 yards versus 19-34 for 281 yards. LSU had 6 more completions, but only 15 more yards. I don't see your point.

Really? It didn't help you win the game. Also, I brought up TOP because Georgia scored more and had similar stats in far less time. The games were pretty different; I'd call the LSU and Georgia offensive performances even or advantage Georgia.

Can you tell the guy who said LSU would be ripping off large run in the fourth that this won't happen because their ypc will go down as the game wears on. K thanks.

So:
LSU - more TOP , more rushing yards, more passing yards , better 3rd down converting = advantage UGA? Wow you're blatantly saying this or you're dumb. Also we aren't talking about winning the games. We are talking about offensive production.
The point of this is UGA fans saying their offense was an will be GREAT. Which it's not. They broke 300 yards of offense once against UF, USC AND BAMA. ONCE. is that a sign of great offense to you?

If you don't know that USUALLY ypc go down with attempts, you don't know football. PERIOD. this is the reason there is a minimum carries in the SEC ypc record book. Come on.
If a rb has one carry for 50 yards his ypc is 50yrds. Do you think that goes down with more carries?
Posted on 7/21/13 at 5:16 pm to Gardevoir
Damn it. We're breaking this game down based on which offense had more success against Alabama last year?
No offense, but that Alabama D had a number of weaknesses. Super talented and deep, but also young and got exploited at times.
