Knowledgable fans were pissed when Hamilton hired his arse. Gary Patterson should have been the hire. Even Brian Kelly, who interviewed and wanted the job would have been better.
Hire Patterson and we don't go into the abyss. The program is stabilized and we have a known 10 win coach to get us back on track. Not a petulant child like Lane.
He left things in such a mess, no decent coach wanted the job. We get Derek Doofus.

I don't know, Lane was improving the program. Ya'll would've been fine if he had stayed, he probably would have better off too.

I think all coaches do underhanded things when they leave a job or are fired.
It seems like many of the problems that you folks have with coaches is that they don't meet your mistaken perceptions about integrity in college sports.
