Auburn, LSU and Alabama never want to play each other late. That's been true longer than you've been alive, cowgirl.
I'm 46... so ... NO. For most of my life, Alabama damn sure wasn't worried about LSU.. and only some years was Auburn a problem.

I bet that basis comes from wins over LSU, Tennessee, and Auburn. In other words, every other fan talking crap in this thread.

What was delusional was LSU thinking they wouldn't go on a two game losing streak to Arkansas. What was delusional was LSU fans predicting 11-1 or 12-0 last year and a national title. What was delusional was thinking LSU could beat Florida last year (much less give up less than half a hundred). What was delusional was LSU fans saying before last season Alabama would lose 6 games, 5 at best. Not too much shame in losing to the #1 and #2 teams in the final AP, especially after an undefeated regular season and gaining a #1 ranking. Lots of shame in losing five games (three of them home games, two of them blowouts), giving up 50 twice, and losing to Arkansas.

No, what's delusional is thinking Bear Bryant has anything to do with Alabama football TODAY

No need to, i have the facts...

I sure don't know how Bryant helped Alabama win any games last season. Go ahead, enlighten me since you brought it up. LSU people are just as obsessed with the Bear as Alabama people are. LSU has a very mediocre season last year, it gets brought up, and somehow the Bear is always brought up in the next post.

Obviously wrong by the result, but not delusional. It would not have been delusional to say that we would beat Troy soundly, even though it clearly didn't happen.

Whoever did that was a total moron and in the absolute minority. The majority of people picked us to lose 3 or 4 games.

Not really. At the time of the match-up, there was nothing really extremely positive to hang our hats on, but nothing really to lead us to believe we wouldn't play a good game with UF.

Who expected this? Most people expected an improvement, though not in an undefeated regular season.
Your post consists of a great number of strawman arguments and generalizations.

I've always liked your level-headed arguments and still agree with this one above. But, I think the LSU parts were meant as cheap darts at LSU. His arguments for Bama, however, are good ones. Losing to UF still stings a little and Utah stings a lot. But, losing only to the final 1 and 2 during the season isn't too shabby in my book.
