if rupp held 70k people, i can assure you they'd fill it up if they only had 7 home games a year. go look at when kentucky plays teams on the road. they're everywhere. when the football team plays on the road, tickets are returned to the home team. kentucky def cares a lot more about basketball than football. it's not an insult. when you've won 40+ sec titles, you'd expect it to be that way. shite, just go read rupps rafter after any loss in bball and then compare it to a loss in football on a kentucky message board.

The football forum on CatsPause is just as bad or worse than Rupp's Rafters after a loss. I'm not saying a lot of fans don't care about basketball more, but the reality is it's probably 60/40 basketball/football as far was what people prefer. We generally travel pretty well, except this past season we didn't. A lot of fans were apathetic and were unhappy about Hartline starting, coaching staff, among other things.

eta: I'm not saying we're not a basketball school. What I'm saying is that 100% of Kentucky fans do care a lot about football (even if they like basketball more) and that no other "basketball" school does football as well as we do (fan base wise).

Kentucky.

Ole Miss is not smelling the ATL.

Too much standing in their way (BAMA and LSU)
not to mention the occaisional Arky or Aubie big year.

Ole Miss

Auburn and Alabama both get on probation. We come in third and go to Atlanta.

We have gotten close a couple of times. What is the highest kentucky has finished in the east since expansion? Serious question.

"when hell freezes over."

Then they missed their chance last year. Saints have already played in and won a Super Bowl.

Their best record since expansion was 2007, 8-5.

ETA: And 2006.

I know it is entertaining to point out this one event and it makes a good tale, but there is no guarantee Ole Miss would have scored even if he had not tripped. It was 4th & 10 on the Ole Miss 30, with 1:55 left when he tripped.

I can't think of a scenario where UK or Vandy makes it unless they start recruiting better.

People seem to forget our MOTHERfrickING LOU GROZA AWARD WINNING KICKER missing 2 easy kicks, his only two misses of the year. That is the one that burns my nostrils.

let's not forget the gift pick 6 matt mauck threw on the first offensive play of the game for lsu. fact is lsu outgained ole miss by over 100 yards (ole miss had 227 yds of total offense). eli was running for his life the entire game, but mauck kept y'all in it with his worst game of the year throwing three int's

And Matt Mauck had over 100 degrees in a fever the night before the game (several players were sick) and he wasn't 100 percent, which is probably why he looked sluggish during the game, including the interception play that gave Ole Miss its first 7 points.

Eli tripped because LSU's defense got a good push. If he didn't trip, he probably gets sacked anyway. The LSU defense was going to be all over him.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.... There are moments in games that we all would want to change.

Has Florida ever beaten Vandy 63-5? Like ever?

This past year was an epic beatdown that could have matched or exceeded that.
