Didn't read the thread, but the correct answer is no one. Gonna be a long season in baseball. At least the Royals might be better for once and the Cards will be well...the Cards, so good.

Unfortunately for Mizzou many Missourians get their baseball fix via the Cardinals or for an unlucky few, the Royals.
Football for comparison, if I catch a spectacular LSU-Bama or LSU Fla Saturday night game, I'm indeed partying til the wee hours... but then I catch the Saints a couple hours later and I'm as pumped as ever for them.
Now, I don't have a big league team closer than Houston so it's different, but college baseball doesn't directly compete with the bigs most of the season. I would think the desire to take in some baseball during the downtime would actually help your college attendance. Maybe it's just the shitty weather you have during this time of the year.
Tell you what, if you like baseball as you say, plan some road trips to the better venues in the SEC. It's not a MLB experience, but you'll likely enjoy it a lot, more than you might expect. You have a lot more intimacy (think excellent seats in a pro stadium... that's about as far away as you can get in college parks), and you still get the college vibe/loyalty/enthusiasm... it's not like a minor league game where you know the team isn't "yours", but belongs to a bigger organization.
LSU games for example, tend to draw crowds that compare to lots of basketball programs, and you get a miniature version of our football tailgate experience. And the weather is great!

Just curious. How do y'all travel for games? Thinking about taking the kid to at least one of the games when you come to town and was wondering if we could expect LSU fans to follow their team.

Oh and by the way, 4 pages later, the answer doesn't change. No one loses a series to Mizzou this year.

Being loud doesn't equal being bad. We boisterously cheer our team on, but for the most part also cheer good plays for either team. I think most of our fans recognize that these are "incognito" players compared to other athletics, and try to be vocal in appreciating the kids on the field.

That's awesome to hear. There may still be snow on the ground when LSU comes to town. Certainly can be down right cold. Combine the cold with the lack of interest in a series against Mizzou generally, and I don't expect to see many travel for it. Great to hear how baseball is supported at the other SEC schools. Hopefully that's contagious at Mizzou.

A&M probably will - the hitting is just BAD this year. It's depressing because our pitching keeps us in any game...

Our team batting average is .190 versus a&m's .281. Our Friday night starter has had a difficult time with his location so far. The others who have started have done decent but we fall apart late in games and after we get to our bullpen. Fielding has been lousy so far. 12 errors in 6 games compared to a&m's 9 in 10 games. Want to re-think losing to Mizzou this year?

Cardinals baseball is pretty much a religion in most parts of Missouri. I'm sure that's how many of you SEC folks are with your college teams. I support my Tigers and want them to do well, however, I was raised a Cardinals fan first and foremost, and they will always come before Mizzou in my book. I'm sure many of you have always thought of your college teams first which is great. Its just for a very large number of Missourians the Cardinals will always come first.
