IDK what we have to do to have a rivalry.

We're just in a bad location to have a true rivalry. LSU is a short drive from A&M and Ole Miss. A&M hates Texas. Texas likes to beat the instate school first. Oklahoma State has OU instate which is priority #1. Mizzou has the whole Civil War thing with Kansas.

We've played all of those schools, except Mizzou, a ton but we were just so remote for so many years that no pure hatred has ever formed. I doubt one ever forms at this point.

For most people in Mississippi it'll be the instate rival, but for me I get much more satisfaction out of beating LSU than beating state. There's a reason we yell GTHLSU

Our natural rivals are Carnegie-Mellon and Stanford. It's a rapacious robber-baron starts university to burnish his image thing. You wouldn't understand.

LSU and for the record the older Arkansas fans will remember we had a rivalry with y'all! They had so many fights during the game they had to start making fans swap tickets so the fans were separated. That was awhile back but the series stopped because of fights! Also for Arkansas fans the Texas Arkansas game was the big rivalry in the swc every year and I always watched that game. Always pulled far yall too, hating Tejas was just easy! PS always pulled for A&M on thanksgiving against Tejas.

Depends on Natural definition

Most geographically logical- Tulane (Tulane football died, but I tell you what that was as real as it got back in the day. Fights used to break out in the stadium)

Most Historic and closest to an actual rival - Ole Miss (Geaux to Hell)

Who we want it to be - Bama

Who the administrations and SEC want it to be - A&M (lolz)

Craziest games - Auburn (this series is insane)

Honorable mention: Arkansas (I think they gave up on it as a rivalry game too early. Honestly, it was starting to finally get there. Problem is each school is on the other side of the state from the shared border)

Y'all can wish all you want but TEXAS A&M is in a different class as a university, and thus we'll never be truly competitive in all aspects. Sorry, but rivalry application denied

I think Ole Miss has been a pseudo-rivalry for a long time, since we played dozens of times before joining the SEC. It kind of became even more so a rivalry game when Houston Nutt got hired at Ole Miss.

You LSU fans see how Arkansas plays against you. We obviously take the rivalry seriously. It's the LSU fans that have yet to hop on board.

texas for us old farts from Arkansas.

Back in the Frank Broyles/Darrel Royal days, this was pretty intense. Didn't a couple of the games in the late '60s, early '70s have natty implications? Some UT QB named Street ripped y'all's hearts out one year.

Auburn because we recruit a lot of the same players and there are many Auburn fans in the state of Georgia.

Tech stays on your mind. We dont give a shite about UGA. We worry about beating the likes of FSU and Clemson.
