For a symposium in allegory visit this article and it's gazillion posts. I'll leave it at that.
"Alabama's $30K BCS trophy shattered"
Course, the guy might just be clumsy.

Looks like a playoff/plus 1 is pretty much a done deal after 2013 BCS contract is up. I don't think it will be the panacea some think though. Personally I wished they go back to traditional bowl matchups played on January 1st, revote, then a BCS CG one week later at a rotating site. Won't happen, but on my Santa list.

It's been reported that the actual trophy is in the Bryant Museum. I don't understand having 2, but the Bryant Museum facebook page said all 3 crystal balls are fine. I know they had one in a different building, but I didn't know it was another besides the regular 3

Nonsensical

Undeserved my arse! You can say the system is flawed, I don't think anyone would disagree with that, but to say we did not deserve it is a bullshite, biased, and extremely butthurt statement.

Odd indeed. $30,000 isn't gonna make them go broke, but it's still a lot. I heard last year that they were duscussing issuing a trophy to every team before 1986 that won the coaches poll, but I don't know how true that is.

1950 - 1986? I don't know man, cost isn't really an issue, especially if each awarded school ponied up. Just seems a bit contrived. What was, was and what is, is....sorta thing.

AHA! I know its wikipedia, but I havent found the article I read that mentioned it.

Like I said, I don't know how true that is. But it would make sense for there being another maybe

Well, there's no reference source, but I can't imagine why else someone would put it there. But "The trophy consists of a Waterford Crystal football[1] affixed to an ebony base, and carries a value of over $30,000" suggests that what was broken was the actual AFCA/BCS trophy, so still not sure.

Beats me. If it was, oh well. Life goes on. It's a trophy; it can be replaced.

It was Carson Tinkers dad. If we end up cursed or something we know who to blame.
Carson will probably get teased excessively about it
