If you would like to see what a near flawless offensive gameplan looks like, I'd suggest you rewatch the USC @ UGA game from last season.
Gurshal was in top form. Gurley is the best running back in the SEC, maybe the nation, when he's healthy. He was healthy that day.
If he stays healthy, Georgia would have given Auburn all the Tigers wanted and then some.

Malzahn is #1 without a doubt
Until he has done it consistently at the pro level, he can not take that top spot. I'd go Cam, Malzahn and everybody else can finish it off.

4. Rhett Lashlee, Auburn
Until I see him without Gus Malzahn, I will remain skeptical. However, he is a bright, young mind, IMO.

Yes, Gurley is a beast. And yes, we have Auburn all they wanted and then some last year. Did you not catch any of that game? I'm honestly perplexed by this post and why you're quoting me in this reply.

Because of your defense of Bobo, who is only slightly above average. You and I both know that Richt is the real OC.

This was true when we won our last Seccg and bobo was glorified qb coach. This is no longer the case.

Again, I'll tell you what I told scrooster, go back and watch our game against y'all from last year. He called a masterful game. He followed it up with another great game the following week against LSU. He's an outstanding OC and has the hardware and stats to prove it. Richt doesn't have play calling responsibility at all. He probably helps design the game plan to an extent, but he's hands off.

Consider it is just Henson's first year at the helm of an offense, and he's a relatively young coach to boot, what he did to help turn Mizzou's dismal SEC outing into a div winner in just one year is rather remarkable.
The astute Mizzou fan would note a lot of tuning, retuning and adjustment to make the offense much more effective last year, in my judgement this was a much larger factor than the "injury issue" that is often attributed as the only real difference in our last 2 seasons. I would grade him out as a solid B+ coach in a very competitive conference and if he improves with experience should be one of the elite OC's before long.

Some game on TV late last year (I forget which) showed that Malzahn calls the plays and stands at the LOS. Lashlee stands downfield aligned with the safeties and relays changes to Gus based on defensive alignment. I had never heard of this before, but it seems to work pretty good
