They had better perimeter people that's for sure. Alabama had better lineman and RB's.

Last year. Alabama's WR could not get any seperation from SCar's secondary and Alshon Jeffrey was way more athletic than any Bama secondary player.

Kareem Jackson and Javier Arenas were two very good corners who should have been able to control Jeffrey.

Julio Jones, Marquis Maze, and Darius Hanks surely should have been able to succeed against Akeem Auguste and Stephon Gilmore.

I just have to disagree, Bama was a very talented team last year, and in 2008.

Last year, LSU and Florida had more talent than Bama. LSU by little and UF by a little bit more.

How are you judging this "talent" discrepancy?

There is a difference in well coached and talented. Kareem Jackson was well coached, but he doesn't have great top end speed or good ball skills. Arenas is quick, but nowhere near fast. He is also about two inches to short. Neither one those guys would start for SCar or LSU

I'm not trying to break it down position by position, but by and large, Bama was and is much more talented that USCe.

From top to bottom yes. Not by as much as you think though. USCe has some real athlete's and always has. In 2007 they had seven players drafted. They have most talented secondary in the SEC.

It does. He hasn't been able to adapt. His biggest threat in the 90's was Phil Phulmer. shite has gotten real in the SEC.

Nutt is a good one. But his teams are inconsistent. They play up for some big games (the OM-UF game) but in others they come out flat (Bama-OM last year). And of course Nutt's teams are notorious for losing games they should not.

Saban is a good motivator no doubt. His pre-game speeches are great.

But, I think Coach Cochran from Bama is outstanding at getting players fired up. The guy is intense.

LSU's offensive and defensive lines had nowhere near the talent Alabama had.

Guys, just say Saban so these cats can ejaculate and go outside in the sun leaving their keyboards for a bit. It's the only way.

FWIW, Jackson ran a 4.41 at the combine. He may not be insanely quick. But his top end speed isn't an issue, IMO.
